Happiest Saturday loves!
I wanted to share a step by step guide on how to use my favorite clip in extensions by Luxy, because well, I am obsessed!
I have been using this brand since last year, and I can not say enough good things about them. Using their site is as simple as choosing your thickness, color, and after ordering…arriving to your mailbox in the pretty red setup below!
They always include a sample piece that you are free to open to match to your own hair, and then send back to exchange if needed! (I am currently wearing the Ombre Chesnut Set 220g, but I do have other sets since I like to change my hair color from time to time)
I have always gotten comments from my hairdressers saying that I just have so much hair, and it’s true. I do have a lot of it, but as you see, it didn’t stop me from getting extensions. They are not just for the thinner or shorter hair girls! I like them because they add volume, which means less product on the hair, and make hairstyles in specific (braids, twists, pony tails) that much more amazing!
Below is how I like to clip them in (my own process) and do a very basic straight hair style.
I start with freshly brushed hair, (so you don’t have to worry about any tangles) and using my thumbs, grab a low pontyail section of my hair, and twist into a bun…leaving a thin bottom layer.
I use these under $2 gold clips from Forever 21!
After the bun is in place, take your largest piece (with four clips) and spread it out as far as it will go, and then clip the two farthest into place first. This will secure the placement, and then you can follow that with the two middle clips.
Keep moving and recreating the bun further up your head, as you continue to make new layers, and put in the rest of your pieces. On a normal day, (like below) I will use:
(2) large and (2) medium in the back, along with (2) small pieces on each side of my head! Make sure to blend or hide the pieces that will show in your usual hair tuck or style places!
Voila! The finished product..nice and voluminous looking while still keeping that natural vibe!
Dress (which I will including in a full blog post next week)
After seeing all the above steps, and you still have questions, feel free to email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org anytime! I am more than happy to talk, answer questions, give advice, etc.!
Also, if this information for extensions would be easier for you in video format, I can do that as well! Just let me know!
Well, I am off to go run errands for a shoot this weekend! Hope you all have an amazing day!
Thank you so much for reading!
