As we get closer to the holiday travel season, I wanted to spotlight one of my very favorite luggage brands, Delsey.
Before Delsey, I didn’t think too much about my luggage. I would use one until it was falling apart, and go grab another one before my next trip. Maybe it comes with age, or just wanting to purchase quality items, but I can now say that I own an amazing collection of travel pieces.
A few things I have learned to look for before purchasing from a new luggage brand:
–Reviews. This is a no brainer. People are generally giving their honest opinion, so if there are a ton of dissatisfied customers, I would stay away.
–Details. If possible, go to the store and see it in person. Look at the materials used, where the zippers are placed, how many additional pockets it offers, etc.
This bag totes a variety of nice features including:
Front brake lock system to prevent the bag from rolling away
Hangers, laundry, and shoe bags
–Size. Is the particular bag you’re wanting available in other sizes? You will want to try and match your bags together for that cohesive look, along with the need for different sizes for different situations. For example, the bag shown above is an XL size and would be used more for a weekend stay or roadtrip, as opposed to trying to fit it on a plane.
For a girl like myself who prefers to have options, the more space the better:)
In this particular collection (Chatelet +) there are 3 other pieces you can purchase:
Once you have your luggage set and have it put it to use for the first time, it is time to think about how you are going to keep it looking pristine! I suggest after every trip, wiping down the entire inside (Baby wipe) & outside (Magic Eraser). This will ensure stains do not stick around, and also that your items inside won’t get effected once packed for your next trip.
I am going to put together a full packing list that you can print out for travel in an upcoming post, so make sure to check back here soon! As always, let me know if you have any questions, and I hope you have an amazing rest of your day!
Thank you so much for reading!
