Happiest Wednesday lovelies!!
I hope your week is going wonderfully so far! We are almost back to the weekend again:)
These pictures were shot this past Sunday on the prettiest of days….it truly felt like Spring. My photographer Jenna and I found these blooms on the side of the road, and had to stop! Spring florals make me so happy! If it weren’t for prior obligations that day, I would’ve set up a little picnic and spent the afternoon here!
Anyways, todays post has a very pink theme as you can see, and features two items that are key pieces for your Spring wardrobe! This maxi dress from Shein is a lightweight mesh material that I layered over a slip, but would be perfect over a swimsuit as well, come summer. I loved the little flutter sleeves and flared bottom, making it feel so much more ladylike than the ones that just hang straight down! I know I have mentioned this before, but Shein is such a great website for those trendier pieces that you don’t really want to spend a lot of money on, but are in the market for. It is definitely hit or miss on the sizing sometimes, so I stick to pieces that I know will be forgiving either way. (Like the dress pictured above)
To match, I normally would’ve gone with a pair of nude wedges, but ever since NY, I have been pairing sneakers with literally EVERYTHING. This is super abnormal in the fact that I am always on the dressier side day to day, but I can not deny their comfort and practicality. Now, I will not just wear any type of sneaker…they have to have a little class added to them, and that’s why I loved this suede option from Dansko. This being my second pair of shoes from the brand, I am now convinced they are one of the most enjoyable lines of shoes to wear. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for an uncomfortable, sexy heel every once in awhile, but ladies, this is like heaven on your feet. This particular pair comes in green & light purple as well, and at under $130 a pair, you should go ahead and snag yourself some!
Speaking of florals and NY, the quote of today is going to be:
“Bloom where you are planted.”- Mary Engelbreit
This is something that I have had to resonate over since coming back from my trip. I went and experienced a city that overwhelmed me with excitement, so much so, that when I came back to Denver, I felt like I was missing out on this whole other world. One filled with fast paced, busy lifestyles, a plethora of opportunities, cultured residents,..you name it. Kind of crazy huh? Not what normally happens after a trip, but it lit a fire inside of me. I got this motivation that once calmed down slightly, I knew I had a new kind of goal in mind. But goals are something to work for, and not need all at once. For right now, I will continue loving Denver, and all the amazing things it has to offer. I can travel and satisfy my wanderlust until one day, when I make the move, to somewhere else. Remember to always appreciate where you are, and to thrive until you simply have exhausted this path, and are ready for a new one.:)
Here’s to making dreams a reality, one step at a time.
Thank you for reading!! Until next time.
